The Senior application support engineer will expand Group Functions IT support and enhance resource availability for end users and stakeholders’ group wide. 

 

This role expands the capacity of Group Functions IT by providing stronger, more accessible support for key end users and businesscritical stakeholders. It ensures stable operations of our most important Groupwide financial applicationsparticularly Treasury and Financial Consolidation systemswhile extending support availability for VIP users and highimpact teams. The role strengthens service reliability across key platforms, including Microsoft workplace tools and core financial applications, ensuring users receive prompt, highquality assistance. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Provide fast, high-quality support for business-critical Group Functions applications, especially for VIP users and key stakeholders. 
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests specifically for Groupwide financial applications, including Treasury and Financial Close/Consolidation systems. 
  • Log, categorize, and prioritize tickets in the ITSM tool (e.g., ServiceNow), ensuring rapid response for critical users.
  • Perform standard fixes and provide configuration and access guidance using runbooks. 
  • Maintain clear communication with end users, prioritizing businesscritical functions and leadership stakeholders.  
  • Maintain and improve knowledge base articles, “howto” guides, and user documentation, with special focus on financial application use cases.  
  • Oversee user roles and access management with strong attention to security, compliance, and data integrity.  
  • Manage lifecycle-changes such as, patches, and releases for financial applications and enduser tools, ensuring minimal disruption to businesscritical processes.  
  • Support UAT activities for major changes impacting Treasury and Financial Consolidation systems.  
  • Provide training, functional guidance, and documentation for end users and support teams handling financial applications 
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience in supporting businesscritical SaaS applications and cloudbased financial systems. Experience from any of TreasuryFinancial CloseFinancial Consolidation, and ERP platforms. Experience with Power BI for building dashboards, data visualizations, and business reports. 

 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across integrations, data flows, and application modules. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive, highpriority incidents while maintaining professionalism and accuracy. 
  • Skilled at coordinating with internal teams and vendors to secure stable operations and continuous improvement of critical applications. 
  • Structured, serviceoriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fastmoving environment. 
  • Microsoft EndUser Tools Expertise.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and automation. 
  • Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm changes prior to deployment.
