The Brand Protection Analyst is responsible for producing monthly enforcement reports that detail trademark infringement analyses, outcomes from test buys, and takedown actions. The role involves organizing intellectual property (IP) files and documentation for legal support, including budget forecasts and invoice summaries, and preparing training materials and compliance communications for suppliers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Manage the Online Enforcement Program using the Corsearch AI-enabled e-commerce monitoring system to analyze and address trademark infringements.
  • Monitor online platforms for counterfeit products and coordinate takedown requests.
  • Oversee investigations into potential IP violations, manage test buy programs to gather evidence of counterfeiting, and collaborate with Pinkerton's Global Investigations Unit for supply chain probes and enforcement actions.
  • Assist IP lawyers with file management, document organization, and preparation of legal materials related to IP enforcement and litigation.
  • Process invoices and provide budget and forecasting.
  • Create reports, including summaries of enforcement activities and risk assessments.
  • Provide training, communication, and compliance support for suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Access specialized units for integrated brand protection, including open-source intelligence (OSINT) research, persistent threat monitoring, and collaboration with law enforcement to eliminate counterfeit products.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Intellectual Property Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline. At least five years of experience in brand protection, IP enforcement, or investigations. 

 

  • Proficiency with tools like Corsearch for e-commerce monitoring, AI-enabled infringement analysis, and investigative software.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or IP-specific credentials are preferred.
  • Well-organized with an ability to prioritize workload.
  • Adaptability in a hybrid work environment, with flexibility for site-specific needs at Altona and Port Melbourne.
  • Familiarity with global IP regulations, trademark laws, and best practices in counterfeiting prevention.
  • Strong cross-collaboration and relationship management skills, coordinating with virtual teams to achieve common business goals.
