The Technical Project Coordinator assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients serves as the first tier in the technical support backbone of the Security Operations Center (SOC). This role manages the issuance of computers and other equipment, tracks available inventory at the opera-tions center location, and performs system updates and equipment maintenance where necessary. Working directly with operators, leads, supervisors, and management, the coordinator identifies root causes and engages the appropriate level of support for quick and effective issue resolution. The position coordinates with cross-functional teams including IT, Tech-Procurement, and AV teams to maintain the SOC technology infrastructure. The Technical Project Coordinator partici-pates in technical project discussions for creation of new SOC-related software and tools, supports tool induction and post-launch activities, and conducts User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for newly inducted tools and features. The coordinator also provides training on technical tools, maintains workstations, manages user accounts, and performs a variety of other project and program-related duties, as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency using and supporting Windows 10/11 operating system.
  • Understand operational expectations and meet requirements with support from the Tech team
  • Manage the inventory of computer assets at the operations center, including updates, issuance, returns, and troubleshooting.
  • Create back-up site system set-up for failover scenarios to ensure continuity of the SOC opera-tions
  • Perform basic budgeting and tech procurement activities
  • Coordinate with SEZ and STPI teams for procurement and inter-unit transfers of assets.
  • Participate in technical project discussions for creation and implementation of new SOC-related software and tools
  • Support induction of new tools and provide post-launch support to ensure smooth integration
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for newly inducted tools and features to validate functionality.
  • Support creation of technology-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain backup documentation in case of tech outages.
  • Document all equipment issuance and maintenance activities
  • Manage user accounts for all operations center users, including audits and permissions validation
  • Create and maintain technical documentation where required
  • Provide training on technical equipment when necessary
  • Set up and maintain workstations at the operations center
  • Serve as first line of support and management of telephony needs for the local operations center
  • Participate in global on-call rotation to cover afterhours support needs of the operations centers
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Degree or higher with one to two years of experience in IT support, inventory management, trou-bleshooting technical issues, and supporting Web Services. Experience managing workload in a ticketing system, knowledge of permissions management, and stakeholder communication skills required.

 

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems
  • Able to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Able to communicate clearly, effectively, and fluently in English (both written and verbal)
