The Dynamics 365 Technical Expert will guide and mentor offshore development teams, uphold best-practice engineering standards, and contribute to high- quality system design and delivery across the Dynamics 365 platform.

 

The successful candidate will act as a technical lead within our global delivery model, ensuring that application maintenance, solution enhancements, integrations, and data quality initiatives meet enterprise- grade expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Lead and oversee offshore technical development teams, ensuring alignment with architecture standards and delivery expectations.
  • Provide expert guidance on Dynamics 365 development, including plugin development, workflows, Power Automate, integrations, and customizations.
  • Review and validate technical designs, code quality, and configuration to ensure adherence to Microsoft-recommended best practices.
  • Support end-to-end solution design, contributing to architectural discussions and helping shape scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions.
  • Develop functional designs and system configurations based on business requirements.
  • Define and document solution architecture, data models, and process flows for the Dynamics 365 CRM platform.
  • Ensure the design adheres to Microsoft Dynamics 365 best practices and is scalable, secure, and efficient.
  • Drive best-practice principles for Application Maintenance, including incident management, problem resolution, code refactoring, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure proper documentation, version control, and deployment procedures are consistently followed.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose long-term remediation strategies.
  • Configure the Dynamics 365 CRM system to align with business processes and requirements.
  • Customize entities, forms, workflows, and reports as needed to meet specific business needs.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce automation and streamline processes using Power Automate or other automation tools.
  • Leverage Power Platform capabilities to optimize and enhance CRM workflows and business.
  • Oversee the design and maintenance of integrations between Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems (e.g., Azure services, third-party platforms, internal apps).
  • Apply robust data governance practices, ensuring high data accuracy, completeness, security, and consistency across environments.
  • Work with business and data teams to troubleshoot data issues and improve data quality processes.
  • Provide ongoing support for the Dynamics 365 CRM platform, resolving functional and technical issues as they arise, as well as supporting the Application Maintenance and Application Development Teams where necessary.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, system optimization, and automation.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, architects, and QA teams to ensure cohesive and well-designed solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, offering guidance and clarity throughout project lifecycles.
  • Stay current on Microsoft releases, new features, and platform capabilities; proactively recommend enhancements or modernization opportunities.
  • Promote engineering excellence through reusable components, automation, DevOps practices, and proper development methodologies.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide training to uplift team capability and technical maturity.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 CE / CRM or Power Platform. Proven experience leading or overseeing offshore development teams. Experience with troubleshooting and supporting application maintenance activitites. Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Experience with Azure integration services (Service Bus, Azure Functions, API Management).

 

  • Solid understanding of solution architecture fundamentals (data modeling, integration design, security architecture, scalability, performance considerations).
  • Strong grasp of SDLC, DevOps pipelines, ALM, and CI/CD practices.
  • Background in enterprise-level digital transformation or CRM modernization programs.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data migration tools, and ETL processes.
  • Ability to create documentation, functional designs, and user stories.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead workshops and training.
  • Ability to effectively work across remote teams and ensure seamless communication across time zones.
