The Regional Intelligence Analyst isresponsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting critical information related to illegal activities affecting the company's brand and products in the Latin American region. This role is essential for identifying threats, trends, and patterns of illicit activities in LATAM, as well as providing valuable intelligence to enable effective preventive and mitigation actions in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources in LATAM, including intelligence reports, internal databases, social media, media outlets, and other relevant sources.

  • Identify patterns, trends, and networks of illegal activities related to the company's brand and products in the LATAM region.

  • Conduct risk analyses and assess the potential impact of identified threats in LATAM.

  • Prepare detailed reports and clear presentations on findings and analyses conducted in the region.
  • Effectively communicate results and recommendations to relevant internal and external teams in LATAM.
  • Collaborate closely with investigation, legal, security, and other departments involved in anti-illicit trade and investigations in the LATAM region.
  • Continuously monitor illegal activities and emerging threats related to the brand and products in LATAM.
  • Continuously monitor e-commerce and emerging threats related to the brand and products in the region.
  • Provide early warnings and recommendations for preventive or mitigating actions for LATAM.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, techniques, and tools in the field of brand protection and illicit trade, with a special focus on the LATAM region.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with government agencies, law enforcement, industry associations, and other strategic partners in LATAM.
  • Participate in networks and working groups related to brand protection and illicit trade in the region.
  • Represent the company at relevant events and conferences in LATAM.

  • Collaborate with Security Professionals worldwide to improve/increase intelligence and investigation performance.

  • Support the production and timely delivery of security intelligence and investigation reports and ensure they are used by Corporate Security Team to facilitate stakeholders' management.
  • Conduct online research for relevant adverse information while conducting investigation into potential counterfeit products.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with five or more years of related experience in investigations and intelligence or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the job's essential functions, as determined by the company. 

 

  • Experience working knowledge and understanding of intelligence-gathering techniques.
  • Able to evaluate, recommend, and develop policy, project initiatives, and operation methods.
  • Able to identify and solve complex problems by analyzing data and information from multiple unrelated sources into a finished comprehensive product.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and standards related to brand protection and illicit trade in LATAM.

  • Strong client and results orientation.
  • Able to work independently with little supervision and under adverse and stressful conditions.
  • Able to present and defend intelligence positions to a variety of audiences including staff, representatives, and members of the Board.
  • Able to interact effectively at all levels of an organization and across diverse cultural and language barriers.
  • Serve as a positive and effective team member.
  • Able to quickly adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:
