The Regional Security Advisor, assigned to one of Pinkerton’s largest global clients, will be responsible for providing operational support and advice to the Regional Security Manager concerning the strategic and tactical application of physical security for all personnel and infrastructure. The Advisor works with the client and other vendors to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of services. 

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Provide operational support in the evaluation, development, and execution of regional site security strategies.
  • Coordinate security vetting of individuals, teams, and vendors to ensure compliance with the client's policy.
  • Oversee and support all agents/vendors to ensure project contracts and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Undertake site visits, as directed by the Regional Security Manager, to ensure the quality of site security survey plans, security assessments, and site-specific risk/threat analysis.
  • Assist with security awareness training programs.
  • Liaise with governmental, consular, and private sector agencies, to protect and enhance the client's security program and business accountabilities, as directed by the Regional Security Manager.
  • Provide operational support and advice to the Regional Security Manager regarding matters including but not limited to the production quality and related service delivery standards, reporting, and budgetary objectives.
  • Assist with the implementation of contingency plans for the immediate resolution of strategic and tactical applications for regional security standards, policy, and procedures.
  • Participate in risk/threat assessments and emergency and contingency planning in alignment with global strategies for all personnel and assets.
  • Actively support cross-functional group processes, programs, and projects.
  • Provide operational security support and assist with operational security-related investigations, as required.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with two or more years of experience as a Security Advisor in a multi-site corporate, public, or private organization with hands-on knowledge of security strategies, policies, systems, investigations, legal issues, supervision, and training. 

 

  • Knowledge of physical/operational security techniques.
  • Understanding of risk management, security technologies, and processes.
  • Able to build collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and law enforcement.
  • Understanding of varied country practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Security industry recognized qualifications, preferred.
  • Extensive cultural and diversity awareness.
  • Consistently delivers on commitments and achieves expected business results.
  • Serve as an effective team leader.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office.
