The RSOC Shift Manager will be responsible will be responsible for managing the delivery of operations by the RSOC Operators within the GPS security operations center and control room across all SAP sites in the respective region (EMEA with contingency to take GSOC operations when required). They will report to the GPS Country Security Manager of Physical Security for the Czech Republic, and they will use operational best practice to ensure the physical safety and security of our people, buildings, and assets.

  • Manage up to 15 RSOC Operators, in shift patterns as required 8-hour shifts (or other rosters if necessitated by workload)
  • Liaise with other Security Operations Centers (R/GSOC) within the SAP R/GSOC network and ensure best practice is maintained throughout the network.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring a high level of service to local and remote SAP sites and staff with the emphasis on the security and safety of SAP staff, assets and information.
  • To effectively provide direction and manage all RSOC technologies including network video, access control, etc.
  • To lead the response and provide direct action to incidents and alarm activation.
  • Formulate Management Information (MI) and reports in order to share with GPS management on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all times and an ability to adopt the appropriate approach when dealing with others who may be anxious or distressed.
  • Direct the liaison with emergency services and other monitoring agents as required.
  • Manage and be accountable for digital media evidence.
  • Manage and be accountable for the collation and viewing of network video images in response to incident investigation in line with associated code of practice.
  • Under minimal supervision, determine the appropriate response to each reported incident.
  • Maintain active awareness for self and team, of the monitored environment, to promote safe and effective working.
  • Maintain a conscientious and proactive approach to work to achieve excellent standards for them and their team.
  • Manage and supervise RSOC Operators using dedicated RSOC software and applications to manage access to EMEA sites, including access badge printing and complete access badge management.
  • Manage, supervise, and serve as a backup and troubleshooting role in Visitor Identity Management process in EMEA region.
  • Manage and supervise RSOC Operators handling remote access management to client’s Colo Datacenters using dedicated software.
  • Manage and supervise RSOC Operators triaging and managing process of any Security Incident raised in EMEA region via dedicated software and applications such as Resolver.
  • Manage and supervise RSOC Operators providing professional customer service when responding to raised Security Incidents received via Contact Pro call center application, phone call, email, or MS Teams.
  • Manage and supervise RSOC Operators to identify, triage and promptly respond to any system anomalies using dedicated software and applications such as ServiceNow.
  • Manage and supervise RSOC Operators handling all communication and requests coming from the GPS team and any other security related contractors of the client.
  • Manage and supervise RSOC Operators providing support to GPS team in regional intelligence threat monitoring of minor or major events, important business travels and situational awareness using dedicated software “Dataminr” and OSINT.
  • Participate in creation process of Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs), Working Instructions, Playbooks, Manuals, and other documentation related to RSOC’s Operation.
  • Control all SOC related EMEA or Global documentation using Document Quality process.
  • Participate in creation process of Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for RSOC.
  • Participate in Power Bi reporting project, creating sophisticate Dashboard visuals of reported data.
  • Participate in Process mapping project, creating visuals and workflows using Signavio application.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and minimum two years’ experience of working in a security environment like that of an international security operations center and/or control room (including experience in management role), or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.

 

Competencies:

  • Comprehensive English language, written and spoken; any second languages are highly desirable.
  • High proficiency in using IT applications and evidence of data entry and retrieval, keyboard skills, to a speed of at least 25wpm with at least 75% accuracy.
  • A good understanding of video, access and guard management systems.
  • Familiarity with Genetec, C-Cure, Trackforce or similar integrated systems is highly desirable; demonstration of use of other systems is a must.
  • Experience in security analysis, problem solving, handling preliminary inquiries, incident assessment and triaging reports.
  • Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports, independent of direction, where necessary.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of technical elements associated with security systems such as IP networks, servers, LAN/WAN.
  • Knowledge and practice of data protection policies, such as GDPR, and the need to keep sensitive information secure.
  • Ability to lead a team, remain calm under pressure, and respond to incidents, particularly in emergencies, in a professional, resilient and timely manner, with minimal supervision where appropriate. Ability to pass background verification.
  • Comprehensive English language (C1 required); any second languages are highly desirable.
  • SIA license (or country equivalent)
  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, which may include drug testing and/or background investigations.
  • Must meet the country’s age requirement.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., email, cell phone).
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must have the legal right to work in Czech Republic.
