The Security Manager assigned to a specific pharmaceutical client, will be responsible for supervising and safeguarding the client's physical premises throughout Ireland. This role involves the oversight of physical security programs, implementing best practices, and responding to evolving threats to protect the company's assets, employees, and intellectual property.

Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage physical security programs tailored to the unique needs of the pharmaceutical sector by integrating best practices and innovative approaches.
    • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and investigations to identify potential security vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
    • Supervise the deployment and functionality of guarding, physical security systems and measures, such as access control systems, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarm response protocols.
    • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services to develop incident response plans and ensure quick, effective resolution of security incidents.
    • Establish and maintain strict protocols for handling sensitive information, intellectual property, and proprietary pharmaceutical products.
    • Provide security leadership and guidance at multiple locations, ensuring consistent application of security policies and procedures.
    • Train and lead a team of security professionals, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools required to maintain a secure environment.
    • Maintain continuous communication with senior management and global security teams to align the local security program with the client's overall security strategy.
    • Develop and manage budget requirements for security operations, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.
    • Ensure compliance with all local, national, and industry regulations pertaining to security, health, and safety.

Qualifications

Five to Ten years’ experience in a similar site security manager role, relevant security related certifications/qualifications would be desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
